LPN - RN JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Clare Living Community is currently seeking an LPN or RN who is clinically competent, registered nurse who assumes responsibility for the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing of the staff development program in accordance with current existing federal, state, LSF and facility standards.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Current state licensure as an LPN or RN, which must be in good standing
Must have good communication skills
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
Clinical experience preferred
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Required to analyze data, and remember and recall multiple policies and procedures. Must have organizational skills, ability to revise and implement the plan of care and observe record and report on patient/resident status. Must be able to demonstrate multiple priorities and the ability to direct and evaluate the activities of others.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB.
Plans, develops and educates staff on all Federal, State and facility education requirements.
Establishes and implements a comprehensive orientation program for facility personnel.
Plans, implements and evaluates an ongoing education program for nurses, NA/Rs and other facility personnel based on educational needs as identified in performance reviews, education needs survey, solicits input from managers concerning training needs, and new topics in healthcare.
Develops, maintains and secures records of education for all employees.
Participates in the process of developing, implementing and evaluating facility goals, objectives, standards of practice and care, and facility policies and procedures.
Gives direct supervision to nursing department personnel.
Collaborates with other departments in employee recruitment, orientation, education and retention.
Participates in the quality improvement process.
Attends education opportunities for their personal development and to maintain professional competency.
Facilitates and records minutes for the Safety and Safe Patient Handling Committees
