We offer comprehensive medical and rehabilitative services for both the long term resident looking to make this their home, and short stay residents who need additional services after a recent hospital stay. CULINARY AIDE JOB DESCRIPTION

Portions and serves food attractively and assists in food preparation for residents. Operates, cleans and sanitizes kitchen and cafeteria equipment, dishes, and utensils. Adheres to food safety guidelines, follows diet restrictions and recipes. Facilitates Meal Ticket purchases by employees and visitors to the facility. Has effective communication and interaction with residents, patients, visitors and other team members.

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • General abilities in basic math skills (Required)

  • Effective communication skills (Required)

  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (Required)

  • Food service experience (Preferred)

COGNITIVE OR MENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

Must have organizational skills and be able to manage multiple priorities and have the ability to make decisions.Follows the policies of the facility and all federal and state regulation. May be asked to act as Lead occasionally in absence of Director or Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB, DEPARTMENTAL EXPECTATIONS

  1. Set up dining rooms and trays for meal service.

  2. Serve portioned food according to diet restrictions.

  3. Deliver trays, carts, floor stock and nourishment.

  4. Washes dishes, pots and pans and completes general cleaning.

  5. Performs a variety of unskilled duties in the kitchen, such as cleaning worktables, refrigerators, sweeping and mopping floors, and distributing supplies.

  6. Assist in trays and food preparation.

  7. Operating and sanitizing equipment.

  8. Promotes and represents a positive attitude of St. Clare Living Community.

  9. Follows state and federal sanitation regulations.

  10. Complete necessary forms and/or money transactions for meal ticket purchases and reconciles receipts daily, to be delivered to the business office.
